Benzodiazepine Addiction Treatment
Benzodiazepine dependence develops gradually, often from medication that was prescribed for a real reason. At Burgess Recovery, we guide you through evidence-based care, beginning with safe medical detox and continuing into long-term aftercare. We walk alongside you at every stage.
How Burgess Recovery Treats Benzodiazepine Addiction
Benzodiazepine dependence develops steadily, often beginning with a medication taken exactly as prescribed. We start with a clinical assessment that helps us understand your history, your health, and the right level of care for you.
When withdrawal needs to be managed, we begin with medically supervised detox, because benzodiazepine withdrawal can be prolonged and, in some cases, medically serious. We taper carefully and monitor you closely throughout.
From there, care continues in residential treatment or, when appropriate, our intensive outpatient program. If anxiety or another mental health condition is present, we treat it alongside the addiction, not as a separate concern. The two are connected, and we address them together.
Therapies We Use
Recovery responds best to a plan built around your individual needs. We combine evidence-based approaches, drawing on cognitive behavioral therapy, group therapy, and family support to address the full picture. Where it is clinically appropriate, we also offer medication-assisted treatment. Together, these tools give you steady ground to stand on.
